I suspect Millicent is going insane, does she need prozac?

I suspect Millicent is going insane, does she need prozac?

Postby GlamDude » Wed Jan 01, 2014 12:09 pm

Ok bear with me a bit here..

Seems like over the last month or so,she is having very hard times making choices. For instance.
When I am sitting on the lounge chair, she will come up,always on the left hand side, jump on the arm, walk over me to the other side, snuggle up by my leg, then she gets up,walks down by my feet, looks up,then rinse,recycle,repeat..After about 20 times,(ok more like 8) she finally snuggles and goes to sleep.

Another thing she does,is when I lay down,I call the kids to bed,Damone crashes, but every time I roll over,Millicent wakes up,walks over me,and then she jumps on the floor, goes by my head, puts her front feet on the bed,and just stares at me until I roll over. Then, she walks over me again, and lays back down with Damone.I roll over again,BOOM there she is again..WTF

I dont know,I think she's lost it...

Thoughts/Comments?

You disturbed her peace. Stop moving when you sleep.

Could it be dementia? Cats can get that, I understand, but I've no idea at what age

Murphy does lots of similar actions accompanied by his patented Siamese Screech©; with him it seems to be age related (he is 19 after all!) what with stiff joints he takes his own sweet time settling down only to decide he wants to be on my other side or on the spare pillow or on my head and like you say, lather rinse repeat! How old is Millicent; is she otherwise healthy?

She's 7,and other than her hypergrooming yeah she is in good health and very happy kitty,(she knows she's the queen).

While its cute,it can be annoying time to time...
